Architectural Competition

E-JUST launched an International Architectural Competition started May 2009 and concluded December 2009 among Egyptian and Japanese architectural firms to compete over designing the university campus, a creative design that will reflect the economic, social, and cultural value systems of Egypt and Japan.



The Competition was divided into two phases: Prequalification, and Shortlisted Applicants. Prequalification was concluded in August 2009, selecting 12 finalists from top architectural firms in Egypt and Japan among 75 participants, while the 3 top winners were selected in December 2009 as: Arata Isozaki and Associates Co. LTD (First Prize), Hiroshi Hara / Hiroshi Hara ATELIER •Φ- Kazuhiro Kojima / C A, Coelacanth and Associates (Second Prize), and Fujimoto Architects (Third Prize).
